Aven Fire Systems, Inc . was incorporated in the state of Pennsylvania on December 11, 1978 . Since then, the principal activity has been the design, sale, installation and service of all types of fire protection systems. Work in this field has been performed in Pennsylvania , West Virginia , Ohio , Maryland , Virginia , New York and Michigan.

Aven Fire Systems, Inc. is an ISO 9001:2008 Registered Company. On May 15, 1998 Aven Fire Systems, Inc. received a Certificate of Registration as an ISO 9001 Company registered by Factory Mutual Research Corporation of Norwood, Massachusetts. Aven Fire Systems, Inc. has placed a strong emphasis on job quality and customer satisfaction. Aven Fire Systems, Inc. plans for the future are enhanced by the ISO 9001:2000 Registration, their Safety Committee Certification by the Department of Labor and Industry, and their commitment to ongoing training to remain abreast of new technologies.

Aven Fire Systems, Inc. is committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for all employees. Aven Fire Systems, Inc. has been certified by the Department of Labor and Industry/Bureau of Workers’ Compensation for meeting the requirements set forth under the Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Act, Article X, for establishing and maintaining an effective workplace Safety Committee. Aven Fire Systems, Inc. was recognized for completing 12 years without a lost time injury, 1995 - 2006. Also, all employees are OSHA 10 hour or 30 hour Certified in Occupational Safety and Health training as defined by the standards of Aven Fire Systems, Inc. 

In April, 2009, Aven Fire Systems, Inc. achieved SHARP status.  SHARP is OSHA’s Safety Health Achievement Recognition Program.  The Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) recognized employers who operate an exemplary safety and health management system.  Acceptance into SHARP by OSHA is an achievement of status that single’s Aven Fire Systems, Inc. out among business peers as a model of work site safety and health. 

Anthony D. Aven , President, has thirty-nine years experience in the estimating, purchasing, and management of all operations pertaining to the fire protection industry. Mr. Aven’s commitment to safety has become the working culture at Aven Fire Systems, Inc. He is the driving force behind the ISO 9001:2000 Quality System.

David M. Steingasser , Project Manager, has forty-three years experience in the design, coordination, and installation of automatic sprinkler systems. He is an Ohio Certified Designer of Automatic Sprinkler Systems.

Robert E. Dennison , Sales Engineer, has thirty-five years experience in the Fire Protection Industry, ten years in Sales and Design Training with “Automatic Sprinkler Corporation”, and twenty-two years in Fire Protection Sales and Office Management. Mr. Dennison has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration – Industrial Marketing with a Minor in Management.

David W. Sharp , CET III Project Designer has an Associates of Applied Science Degree in Computer Drafting and Design. David has seven years experience in the Survey and Design of Automatic Fire protection systems. He also is a member of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers. David is NICET Level III in Automatic Sprinkler System Layout and. 

Karl E. Eidberger - Project Manager, has twenty-seven years experience in the Fire Protection Industry designing water based fire protection systems for multiple hazards and specialty installations. He is NICET Level III Certified and a member of NFPA and The Society of Fire Protection Engineers.

James A. Smith , Field Superintendent, has forty-four years experience in the installation and service of all types of fire protection systems. He is responsible for supervising the work force of the Sprinkler Division at Aven Fire Systems, Inc.

David M. Coss  , Field Superintendent, has twenty-four years experience in the installation and service of all types of fire protection systems. He is responsible for supervising the work force of the Sprinkler Division at Aven Fire Systems, Inc.  He is a teacher for the apprentice program is Nicet Level II Certified.  He has passed Star Master Sprinkler Fitter exam.

Kenneth E. Aven , SET Special Hazards Manager, has thirty-eight years experience in the design and installation of specialty fire protection. He is responsible for overseeing the Special Hazards Division at Aven Fire Systems, Inc. He is Ohio Certified in Design of Special Hazards & Fire Alarm Systems. He is also NICET Level IV in Special Hazards Suppression Systems and NICET Level III in Fire Alarm Systems. Ken is a member of Aven Fire Systems, Inc. Safety Committee.

Wayne J. Alexander , Manager Safety and Workers’ Compensation, has twenty-five years experience in the field of Safety and Workers Compensation. Wayne manages the safety program at Aven Fire Systems, Inc. and ensures that safety is monitored and maintained on job sites. He is co-management representative for the ISO 9001:2008 Quality System at Aven Fire Systems, Inc. and is the Chairman of Aven Fire Systems, Inc. Safety Committee. Wayne is a Course Trainer for OSHA 10 and 30 – hour programs for Occupational Health and Safety. 

In addition to the above personnel, we maintain a staff of qualified and trained individuals to install and service all types of Fire Protection Systems, including: FM-200 Systems, Wet and Dry Automatic Sprinkler Systems, Deluge Type Systems and Fire Pump Systems, CO2 Systems, Restaurant Fire Suppression Systems, Vehicle Fire Protection Systems, Chemical Fire Protection Systems, Fire Detection/Alarm Systems, and Fire Extinguishers.
